Wooshy Gooshy Anniversary Post!

I warned you. :)

Sunday, March 13th is my 7th wedding anniversary! On that same date in 2004 I married, MAYBE the coolest person to walk the planet. Seriously, we have always just meshed personality-wise. He is hysterical, I am easily entertained...it works. We've gone through a couple of rough patches and I'm not going to pretend that we haven't, but I cannot fathom spending the rest of my life without him. And of course he is a private person and refuses to have anything to do with blogging or facebook, but don't for a second think that I won't send this link to his email. If I'm going to brag this much, he better know about it. lol

So here you have it, a list of things that I love about my husband:

-He knows how to do EVERYTHING. Seriously, he can fix things, build things, do things that I don't have a clue about. And if he doesn't know in advance...he figures it out and masters it in no time. We don't have to call a repair man for anything, because he WILL figure out how to fix it and chances are he already knows how.

-I think he may have tiger's blood. haha, Charlie Sheen style.
Really though, he's a runner. You've heard me talk about it before in this blog, I'm sure...but the thing that amazes me about him is that he is never really out of shape. He can go for a couple of months and not run (which he hates to do) and pick it right back up. But as if that weren't enough he fits his training schedule around 60+ hour work weeks at times. And the man can sleep for 4-5 hours and take off the next day full of energy and I need 8 hours just to function...and I'm not a runner (yet, but I hope to be soon) NOR will you catch me working more than 40 hours a week. Ha!
I don't think he knows just how amazed I am at his energy.

-He is funny. Sometimes not even on purpose. Even when he tells me "I wish you could just be quiet so I can watch Big Foot stuff on tv", I can't help but laugh hysterically because of the way he said it. He can be a terd, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't laugh.

-He takes care of me. This is the BIG one. We were babies when we got married and most of the people our age were still partying or working goofy jobs to get through school or even just to get their parents off their backs. In 7 years of marriage and even the 3 years of dating before that...I have NEVER once had to worry about money or something not getting paid for. He has such a strong work ethic and just does what needs to be done. If something needs to be paid for, he figures it out and I haven't made it easy on him with my job jumping and changing my major in college 400 times. Recently, he got a promotion at work and I am just so excited for him because no one has ever deserved anything more. I just hope it's not too stressful.

-He is an analyzer. OMG. He thinks everything through. Even things that most people can give an answer to in a second flat....he will think about every single aspect of it. All of the possibilities that could go along with it...it's crazy. But for that very reason, he RARELY makes a bad decision.

-He's pretty. :)
Some people feel pretty during pregnancy...I am not one of them, and so the fact that I think he is so handsome almost makes it worse on me right now...but he is. I have even told my friends that I think he may have the perfect butt. And he is going to be super thrilled to know that I shared this with my blog friends. haha

-He's good to me. Really good to me. Some of the reasons I can't even mention on here, but the ones that I can I will. He tells me that he loves me every day. I don't think he's ever missed a day in 7 years of marriage. We still say it EVERY time we're on the phone. He holds my hand in public. He asks how my day is and calls me (most of the time) to check in when he is at work all day. He takes my side when I complain to him about people. And if you know me you know I like to be right...even when I'm not.

-He is a good person. Like a really good person. He tells me stories about work and I can't believe that he handles things with such grace sometimes when I am ready to HURT someone for him. He always does the right thing, even when it's not the convenient thing to do. And he worries about things that he has said or done that might offend someone. Once again I feel inferior to him when it comes to this...sometimes I am quicker to just do what I want and not what needs to be done, I'll be honest.

-He takes care of business. If it needs to be done, he figures out a way to do it. Regardless of time or what the effort entails...he just handles it. For example, I don't have a clue when our bills are due or what most of them are (amount wise). And I honestly prefer it that way. He is MUCH better with money than I am. He keeps maintenance up on our 3 vehicles, even when it means standing outside in the freezing cold at night to change the oil in my car. He takes the trash down every Friday and I NEVER have to do it. That sounds minor, but we have a long driveway and he has to do it at like 5 or 6 in the morning because of his work schedule. I'm starting to ramble...

I could go on and on...literally I have more bulleted paragraphs in mind...but you get the point. To sum it up...Happy Anniversary to the perfect person for me. I could not be more in love with you than I am this very second.

So many things!!!

So much is going on, holy cow! I am 33 weeks and 4 days and I had a doctor appointment today. Since my last post I have had 2 baby showers and just as soon as someone gives me some pictures of those, I will post them. Ahem...Mom.
The showers were fantastic. We got SO many things. Her room is pretty much finished, except for organizing and a couple of shelves that I am waiting on my husband to finish.
Speaking of my husband, he just got a promotion and he is working a lot of hours due to training, so he has been so busy as well! Life is FLYING by right now!
Upcoming things-1 more shower, plus Gerber Baby Day! Labor and Delivery class on March 12th, my 7th wedding anniversary on March 13th. (wait until you see the sappy post about that one!)
My last day of work is April 5th....I'm pretty much just spouting off random dates at this point but maybe it will help me remember everything. To my IRL friends, let me know if I am missing something.

Today's appointment: NO WEIGHT GAINED! (WOO!), Heartbeat, bp, measurements all good. I asked my Doc if we could get just 1 more ultrasound and he agreed so I am super excited about that. He estimates her at about 4lbs right now although he tells me that it's JUST an estimate. And I got to eat Chik-Fil-A afterward, oh happy day!

I still feel good. A little bit of ankle (cankle) swelling. My sleep is hit and miss, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's only good because I have taken a Ben.adryl. And the heartburn...ohhhhh, the heartburn. I am living on antacids.
BUT, other than that I feel awesome and I am just ready/terrified to get this show on the road! :)

I'll never know how much it cost to see my sin upon that cross...

I've sang this song in church several times and I love it each time, but yesterday driving home from a super long day, I needed it. Life is busy and exciting right now and it's hard not to get caught up in the petty everyday issues that aren't really issues at all. No matter what is going on in life there is ALWAYS this, Jesus died for us. Without that, nothing else really matters.
Thank you Jesus for the wonderful life you've given me and the wonderful baby life that is on the way. :)

32 weeks (tomorrow)

How far along: 32 Weeks
Maternity clothes: I wear them about 98% of the time.
Sleep: I'm still sleeping okay just with many bathroom breaks.
Best moment of the week: Everything checked out well at my Dr. appt. Always good news.
Food cravings/aversions: Still just liking food in general.
Belly button in or out: In
What I miss: I miss the days that I considered jeans comfortable; those are gone.
What I am looking forward to: 2 baby showers this upcoming week!
Weekly wisdom: Stay off of the internet! There is a lot of bad news out there and I'm better off not reading it at this point in my life.

5 Question Friday

Again, I'm copying Kaitlin, while I'm counting down the minutes until time to go home...

1. Have you worn the same outfit more than one day in a row?
Absolutely not, oh wait. I have maybe worn something to church on Sunday and then wore it to work on Monday....maybe once or twice. I just asked my friends earlier if it's okay to wear the same jeans 5 days in a row as long as I wash them sometime around Wednesday. This is not because I don't have any clothes, it's because none of them FIT or are comfortable. Ugh.


2. If you had to choose any LARGE city to live in, which would it be?

I am pretty anti-large city to be honest. I don't care for them. But, the hubs and I always said we would move to Orlando though. We love it there.

3. Fly or drive with the kids on vacation?

I don't have any kids, okay well I technically have one in my belly and she's already been to Colorado via automobile. We usually drive unless it's just ridiculously too far. Not big flyers.

4. What is your idea of "spring cleaning"?

GETTING RID OF DUST! I live on a dirt road and have laminate floors throughout my house and it seems like no matter what I do there is always a layer of dust. That's also a good time to do the stuff I never make time for like cleaning out the fridge, or cleaning the grout in the bathrooms. I hope to do these things very soon, with some help....ahem HUSBAND!

5. What is the best book you have ever read?

I love to read and I think as a child my absolute favorite was Charlotte's Web and now as an adult (besides the Twilight series in which I am in love with), I really liked the book In Search of Eden, by Linda Nichols. You should check it out.

The definition of glamour:

Finding bread crumbs in your bra at the end of a long day. SIGH.
*Note: aforementioned crumbs came from the Subway foot long that I had at lunch, with chips. Every bite eaten. There are starving kids out there people!!!

I will be 32 weeks on Sunday. I'm sure I will have a picture to post because I have somewhat agreed to let my Mom take some pics on Saturday. And I'll do the highlights then too. I know you're 0n the edge of your seat.

Doctor appointment tomorrow. How long before I have to start doing these weekly? Right now I'm at every 3 weeks.

Grrr, it's dark--but that's the crib, new recliner, and curtains. And all of the wall hangings are lined up in the floor. It's a shame that you can't tell how cool those curtains really are. I'll post another pic later.

And the dreaded bare belly pic. Okay, I said I wouldn't do this, but I'm just thankful that I don't have stretch marks or that dark line on my stomach. Let me have my moment. Also...I have been carrying LOW this whole time. I think it's more apparent here. And yes...I'm WHITE, what else is new?

How far along: 30 Weeks

Maternity clothes: I wear them about 98% of the time.

Sleep: It's just okay this week. I'm waking up A LOT to pee, of course--but then it's a little harder to fall asleep because my back is hurting like crazy!

Best moment of the week: JT and I finally got our timing down and he was able to feel the kicking. Usually, the second I put his hand on my belly she stops. Stubborn!

Food cravings/aversions: Cadbury eggs are here!!! YAY!!!!

Belly button in or out: Still in. Not even flat yet. My belly button was pierced, so the hole where the ring was is a little stretchy looking, but that's about it.

What I miss: The sunshine, and that has NOTHING to do with being pregnant. NO MORE SNOW!!!

What I am looking forward to: Her being here. I wanted to experience pregnancy and I have now for 30 weeks. Don't get me wrong, I want her to stay in there until full term, but I am ready for full term to get here!

Weekly wisdom: I can't really think of any at the moment....
