Week 15

How far along: 15 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: SIIIIGGGGGHH. According to my scales, about 10 pounds. Yep--if my calculations are correct I will have successfully gained 900 pounds by April of next year. Awesome. And I do care, I really really do--except that for me, hungry=sick feeling, and that's something I care more about right now than the weight gain. The weather is gorgeous, I'm going to start walking 30 minutes a day to see if that helps. Okay, moving on.

Maternity clothes: Still mixing, although probably going with more maternity than non-maternity.

Sleep: I still sleep just fine except that I am having some horrible dreams that make me feel more tired in the morning than I did before I went to sleep. Still peeing roughly 7 times a night. Seriously.

Best moment of the week: JT and I went baby furniture window shopping this weekend. Fun and also overwhelming. I'm not buying anything until I know the sex because I have different ideas on the color of the furniture.

Food cravings/aversions: No sweets. Still eating pickles. I mostly just like food in general.

Belly button in or out: In

Stretch marks: Nope

What I miss: I found a pic on my phone of me in a bikini....enough said. haha

What I am looking forward to: My appt on the 10th.

Weekly wisdom: Wisdom ha! I just keep saying really dumb things. This week I asked my husband what Sacajawea is famous for and also confused French with Japanese!!!!

Would have taken a picture this morning, but I forgot. Yes, I forgot again.

Wordy Wednesday...

That's right--I started my own thing. Wordless Wednesday just wasn't for me. lol

I shaved my legs today. That honestly deserves it's own post because it is a pretty major thing, but I'm not sure that you're quite as interested as I am. (or my husband, bless his heart)

I have a question for you all, mostly IVFers though....I have read that when ICSI is involved, the odds of having a girl are higher than someone who conceives, well....any other way. Do any of you have any personal or even non-personal experiences with this? They say that the girl embryos are tougher than the boy embryos, therefore the girls are more likely to survive the ICSI process. Did I read a bogus article or have you heard this too? Just curious.

I put together a pretty cute outfit today, but it involves wearing a jean jacket all day because there is a spaghetti strap dress underneath. I am burning alive right now and questioning if maybe I should consider changing deodorants.

The work that I am doing today is pretty repetitive, so I am of course having a hard time doing it without taking breaks every 5 seconds minutes or so to surf the Internet or to blog. My A.D.D. is in full gear and I cannot WAIT until April when I can just stay home and not stare at this computer anymore.

Also, my friends think it's hysterical that my spelling and grammar has gone to crap in our emails. This is not good because I am normally STRICT about this type of thing and correct their errors. I've been told this is karma also mixed with a brain-sucking baby. :)

Someone asked me in my last post I think....if I was going to reveal the gender and the name, when I know those things. I do have names picked out for both sexes and I will reveal those when I reveal the sex....which is right about the day that I find it out. So there you go.

Happy Wednesday.

Week 14

How far along: 14 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I knew I was doing this post this morning, so I weighed...and now I am pretending that the scales are messed up, so stay tuned....

Maternity clothes: Still mixing, although probably going with more maternity than non-maternity.

Sleep: I have switched things up, I am feeling more energy during the day but waking up almost every hour during the night to pee.

Best moment of the week: I had a good OB appointment on Monday!

Food cravings/aversions: Pickles and milk...not together. No aversions other than I still don't really want anything sweet.

Belly button in or out: In

Stretch marks: Nope

What I miss: Nothing really. If anything--softball.

What I am looking forward to: finding out the sex and buying stuff. We still haven't bought one single thing, other than maternity clothes.

Weekly wisdom: I can't think of anything....

Hoping that next week I can put up a picture of my large self for proof that I'm not making all this up. haha

Where is my glow?

What is all of that nonsense that I have been hearing for years about a pregnant woman's glow? Where is mine? The only thing shiny about my face would be the zits.

And a random thing: I just finished Jenny McCarthy's book, "Belly Laughs" and while it is hilarious and gives you a look into what all pregnancy can entail...I am now more terrified than ever and also a little scarred for life. haha

I am currently eating my second breakfast for today, and it is baked Ruffles and Ranch Dip. Yep.

That is all for now.

Week 13 (with an update)

How far along: 13 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Still at +5 lbs.

Maternity clothes: Still mixing it up. I wore a maternity top one day last week. I am at the point where normal clothes look too small and maternity clothes look too big.

Sleep: STILL TIRED. All of the time. Still sleeping good at night though.

Best moment of the week: My best moment is every day at 5:00 when I get to go home and lay down.

Food cravings/aversions: I've had a lot of pizza this week. So I guess that. I have GOT to incorporate some vegetables here...

Belly button in or out: In

Stretch marks: Nope

What I miss: MY RE!

What I am looking forward to: I have my first OB today. Anxious and excited all at the same time. If you're the praying type, hook me up! :)

Weekly wisdom: Laci with her "start buying diapers now" advice. I am going to make that happen.

Symptoms: Sleepy. It hurts to sneeze. Pure laziness. Other than that I'm good. :)

OB appointment went well. Strong heartbeat, cervix (eww) looked good, loaded up on free prenatals, yesssss!

Week 12

How far along: 12 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Still at +5 lbs.

Maternity clothes: I'm still mixing maternity pants and pre-maternity pants, based on whatever is clean and non-wrinkled that day. I haven't worn any maternity tops and I think I still have a few weeks until I will need to.

Sleep: I still get pretty sleepy around 1:00 in the afternoon, but it's getting better. Still sleeping well at night with the exception of peeing 5 times.

Best moment of the week: Hmmm, not sure. I guess maybe hitting the 12 week mark, except that yesterday I woke up on a panic, convinced that the baby isn't developing and I am going to hear horrible news at my appointment in 2 weeks. I should have made them bring me in quicker--but I am trying to NOT be that crazy person. At least not to the point where my Doctor knows about it.

Food cravings/aversions: Salads minus the lettuce! I have always liked this, but this past week I could have eaten it every day. Basically it is ham, eggs, cheese, ranch dressing, pickled okra and crackers.

Belly button in or out: In

Stretch marks: Nope

What I miss: Feeling sane. I am just still so paranoid that something is going to go wrong. Oh and also--TAKING ALLERGY MEDICINE! Yes, I know that probably there are some different kinds that are safe for pregnancy, but I am refusing to take anything but Tylenol at this time. Besides, allergy meds rarely make me feel much better anyway...I usually just have to tough out Fall and then they go away.

What I am looking forward to: My next appointment.

Weekly wisdom: I don't have any...that I can think of.

Symptoms: Indigestion, fatigue....that's about it at this point.

5 Question Friday

I follow a few blogs that do this and we all know that I can't pass up a good survey/quiz. haha

1. Did you have a pen pal when you were little (or now)? Where were/are they from?

I'm not sure if this counts, but my husband and I sponsor a child in El Salvador and we write back and forth to each other.

2. If you could do a different job for one day, what would it be?

Something fashion related. I LOVE CLOTHES! I would eventually like to manage in retail...yes I know I am stupid for considering retail. lol

3. Do you remember your biggest fear from when you were little?

I hate anything slimy and always have--frogs, worms, minnows....I love to fish just so long as someone baits my hook and takes the fish off. :)

4. What do you think is a waste of time? Why?

Making the bed. You're just going to climb RIGHT back in it. What's the point? Haha

5. What is the oldest item you have in your closet?

I don't keep old items--I go through clothes like toilet paper...but I THINK probably my volleyball practice shorts from high school are the oldest. And I wear them once a week around the house. LOVE THEM!
